Cultural Competence and Cross-Cultural Communication Consultant
Rita Pavone, PhD, MS, MPhil, MA, Advanced BA, CCMS
has been an interpreter, a translator, and a cultural competence consultant for over 20 years.
She is currently the Northeastern Translators Association (NOTA) PR Chair.
She held the role of Program Coordinator for a section of the Austin Area Translators and Interpreters Association (AATIA) in Austin, Texas, USA, from 2013-2024.
Furnthermore, Dr. Pavone has been a Policy/Regulations Researcher since 2013. Her research projects focus on communications, criminal justice, cultural competence, education, ethics, healthcare, HIPAA privacy rules, interpreting, and public policy.
Furthermore, she worked in clinical data management, research, and quality assurance for over 15 years, as a consultant in psycho-rehabilitation and studies comparison for over 14 years, and in foreign relations and immigration for over 7 years.
She has taught courses in communications, criminal justice, critical thinking, diversity issues, healthcare administration, political science, public administration, public speaking, and teamwork | collaboration | conflict resolution.
